mental health awareness week (everyday)

Hello!

As mental health awareness week nears the end I thought best I write some sort of thrilling and inspirational blog post.....

But then it dawned on me that raising awareness and reducing stigma around mental health should not only be allocated one week out of the possible 52. It should not be the only week that people open up and ask for help. Each and every day our mental health should take as much priority as our physical. There should be no shame, no fear and no judgment seeking medical help for your brain.

Having a mental illness does not define you, nor does it render you useless, a failure or a disappointment. you have bullied your self for so long, and loathed your own mind for never succeeding, never achieving and never being "normal".

Yet everyday you wake up ready to face another day of unknown turmoil. Some days are better than others, some days are even better than that!! and some days are the worst anyone could experience and you think you can't carry on.
But look, your doing it, your breathing, your alive, you are winning at life!!!!

your strength and worth does not come from your grades or your job it comes from within you, and as long as you allow your self to grow and to keep waking up every day you will become stronger and stronger.
